Dual Vision: Art Through Different Eyes

Last month, I was privileged to participate in an event called “Dual Vision: Art Through Different Eyes,” hosted by the Artisans Village Guild in collaboration with the Associated Photographers of Lake Oconee.

The concept is exciting. Photographers present a unique image that represents a point of view. Artists then select an image to depict through their chosen medium. In the opening reception on September 15 at sponsor Barrell 118 in Eatonton, the creative pairings were revealed.

My two pieces were very different, inspired by the photography of David Waters and Tom Barry. See my interpretations of their images in “The Lights of Gulfport” and “Times Square Reflections.” Both paintings are mixed media on canvas panels.

The Artisans Village is a 501c(3) non-profit corporation established as an economic development art tourism venture. Read more about The Artisans Village’s mission and vision.
